第51章 高珊珊51

几个月后，伦敦迎来了圣诞节。

天空飘着细碎的雪花，街道两侧挂满了彩灯和圣诞花环，商店橱窗里摆着憨态可掬的圣诞老人玩偶，处处都洋溢着热闹的节日气氛。

高珊珊和几个玩得好的同学在餐厅吃完圣诞大餐后，便起身提出要回家。

“再玩会儿嘛，难得圣诞节这么热闹！”

同样是中国的留学生拉着她的胳膊挽留，可高珊珊还是摇了摇头。

“不了，我得回去了，谢谢你们今晚的招待。”

这时，坐在旁边的男生Henry站起身，笑着对众人说：“Mary,  I'll  send  Sam  home.  It's  snowing  outside,  and  it's  not  safe  for  her  to  go  alone.”（Mary，我送珊珊回家吧。外面下雪了，她一个人走不安全。）

高珊珊看向他，点头应道：“Thank  you,  Henry.  That's  very  kind  of  you.”（谢谢你，Henry，你真好。）

Henry开车，高珊珊坐在副驾驶座上。

见她一直低头看着手机，手指时不时在屏幕上滑动，Henry一边专注地开车，一边随口问道：“Are  you  chatting  with  someone  important?  You've  been  looking  at  your  phone  since  we  left  the  restaurant.”（你在和重要的人聊天吗？从餐厅出来后，你就一直在看手机。）

高珊珊抬起头，嘴角带着一丝浅笑，“I'm  chatting  with  my  brother.  He's  worried  about  me  being  alone  abroad  during  Christmas.”（我在和我哥哥聊天。他担心我一个人在国外过圣诞会孤单。）

“Brother?  I  also  have  a  brother.  He  works  in  a  bank  in  Germany  now.”（哥哥？我也有个哥哥，他现在在德国的一家银行工作。）Henry眼中闪过一丝笑意，主动分享起自己的家人。

高珊珊有些好奇地问：“You're  British,  why  does  your  brother  work  in  Germany  instead  of  staying  in  the  UK?”（你是英国人，为什么你哥哥不在英国工作，反而去了德国？）

“He  studied  in  Germany  before,  and  after  graduation,  he  decided  to  stay  there  for  work.  The  work  environment  there  suits  him.”（他之前在德国读的书，毕业后就决定留在那儿工作了，那里的工作环境很适合他。）Henry解释道。

“I've  heard  online  that  it's  really  hard  to  graduate  from  a  university  in  Germany.  Is  that  true?”（我在网上看到说，德国的大学很难毕业，是真的吗？）高珊珊想起之前看到的留学攻略。

“That's  why  I  didn't  listen  to  my  brother's  advice  to  study  in  Germany!  I'm  not  good  at  dealing  with  too  much  pressure.”（所以我才没听我哥哥的建议去德国读书呀！我不太擅长应对太大的压力。）Henry说着，还俏皮地耸了耸肩，逗得高珊珊笑出了声。

一路上，Henry很会找话题，从伦敦的圣诞习俗聊到校园里的趣事，语气轻松又绅士，完全没有让高珊珊感到冒犯。

很快，车子就停在了高珊珊租的公寓楼下。

Henry先下车，绕到副驾驶座旁替她打开车门。

“We're  here.  Be  careful  when  you  go  upstairs,  the  stairs  might  be  slippery.”（到了，上楼的时候小心点，楼梯可能有点滑。）

“Thank  you  for  sending  me  back.”（谢谢你送我回来。）

高珊珊刚下车，Henry突然从口袋里拿出一个精致的小盒子，递到她面前。

“This  is  a  Christmas  gift  for  you.  I  prepared  it  a  long  time  ago.”（这是给你的圣诞礼物，我很早就准备好了。）

高珊珊有些意外地接过盒子，在Henry期待的目光下轻轻打开——里面躺着一条银色的钻石项链，吊坠是小巧的雪花形状，在路灯下闪着温柔的光。

“It's  so  beautiful,  but  it's  too  expensive.  I  didn't  prepare  a  gift  for  you  in  return...”（这条项链很漂亮，但太贵重了，我还没准备回礼……）高珊珊有些不好意思。

“You  don't  need  to  return  anything.  As  long  as  you  accept  it,  that's  the  best  gift  for  me.”（你不用回礼，只要你收下，对我来说就是最好的礼物了。）Henry的眼神里满是真诚。

高珊珊捏着盒子，沉默了几秒，抬头认真地问：“Henry,  do  you  like  me?”（Henry，你是不是喜欢我？）

Henry愣了一下，耳朵瞬间红了，他挠了挠头，坦诚地说：“Yes,  I  like  you  a  lot.  I  originally  planned  to  find  a  more  perfect  day  to  confess  to  you,  but  I  didn't  expect  you  to  notice  it  first.”（是，我很喜欢你。我本来想找个更完美的日子向你告白的，没想到被你先看出来了。）

“I  already  have  a  boyfriend.  We've  been  together  for  a  long  time,  and  I  love  him  very  much.”（我已经有男朋友了，我们在一起很久了，我很爱他。）高珊珊语气坚定，没有丝毫犹豫。

“I  know  he's  in  China,  and  you  two  are  far  apart.”  Henry咬了咬唇，还是说出了心里的想法，“I've  seen  many  international  students  who  have  partners  in  their  home  countries,  but  they  still  find  someone  to  accompany  them  at  school.  I  don't  mind  that  kind  of  relationship.”（我知道他在中国，你们隔得很远。我见过很多留学生，就算在国内有伴侣，在学校也会找个人陪伴，这种关系我不介意的。）

“But  I  mind.  I  can't  do  something  that  betrays  my  boyfriend.  Thank  you  for  your  kindness,  but  I  really  can't  accept  this  gift.”（但我介意，我不能做背叛男朋友的事。谢谢你的心意，但这份礼物我真的不能收。）高珊珊说着，把盒子轻轻推回给Henry。

Henry接过盒子，脸上露出失落的表情，“I  see...  I  guess  I'm  out  of  luck.”（我知道了……看来我运气不太好。）

高珊珊看着他沮丧的样子，主动上前抱了抱他，“You're  a  very  good  person,  Henry.  You  will  definitely  find  someone  who  suits  you.”（Henry，你是个很好的人，你一定会找到适合你的人的。）

Henry愣了愣，随即露出释然的笑容，“Thank  you,  Sam.  I  hope  you  and  your  boyfriend  will  always  be  happy.”（谢谢你，珊珊，祝你和你男朋友一直幸福。）

等Henry开车离开后，高珊珊转身走进公寓楼，她拿出手机，给高文彦发了条消息：【哥哥，我安全到家啦～】

高珊珊看着手机里未读的消息提示，嘴角勾起一抹了然的笑——定位显示文彦就在附近，他分明已经看到了刚才楼下的一幕，却故意不回消息。
